Connecting your store and ad accounts

One-time setup to connect Shopify, Meta Ads, and Google Ads so agents can work with real data.

Updated July 19, 2026

Before Agents can do real work, ShopOS needs to see your store and your ad accounts. This article covers both, since they're both one-time setup steps you'll do in your first session.

Connect your Shopify store

  1. From the settings screen, select Connectors from the left navigation.
  2. Choose Shopify and log in with your store admin credentials.
  3. Approve the permissions ShopOS requests. This is read access to products, orders, and store settings, so agents can see real data.
  4. Wait for the sync to finish.

Connect Meta Ads

  1. Go to Settings > Connectors.
  2. Click Connect next to Meta Ads.
  3. Log in with your Meta Business account and select the ad account you want Performance Marketing Agent to manage.
  4. Confirm the permissions.

Connect Google Ads

  1. From the same Settings > Connectors page, click Connect next to Google Ads.
  2. Log in with your Google account and select the ad account.
  3. Confirm the permissions.

What happens if you skip this

You can explore ShopOS without connecting anything, but Performance Marketing and Shopify Page Builder all work better with real data:

  • Without connected ad accounts, Performance Marketing Agent can't launch or manage campaigns, and shows a setup prompt instead.
