Welcome to Creative Director
What Creative Director does, its two modes, and what it can output.
Updated July 19, 2026
Creative Director is the ShopOS agent that generates creative. In the product itself, you'll see this agent named Monica (configurable); this help center refers to it by function, Creative Director, everywhere else.
What Creative Director does
Give it a product, a format, and your Brand Memory, and it produces creative without a design brief or back-and-forth with an agency. It works in two distinct modes, and which one you pick depends on how you like to work.
The two modes
Supercomputer, conversational. You land here by default. Drop a brief, a reference image, or a rough idea into the prompt box and it works like a conversation: describe what you want, get a result, refine it in the next message.
Creative Studio, direct. Skip the conversation entirely. Pick your output type, model, aspect ratio, and resolution up front, drop a prompt describing a scene or mood, and generate straight away. Built for when you already know exactly what you want and don't need the back-and-forth.

What it can output
- Image
- Video
- Edit (modifying an existing video asset rather than generating from scratch)
Each mode lets you pick the model behind the generation: Nano Banana Pro (production-quality stills), Nano Banana 2, Nano Banana Lite (fastest and most affordable), or GPT-image-2. Resolution is selectable at 1K, 2K, or 4K.
What Creative Director needs from you
- A completed Brand Memory, so output actually looks and sounds like your brand
What "good" looks like
A good first session ends with at least 4 creatives you'd actually consider running, not just a technically correct output. If everything it generates needs heavy editing, that's almost always a Brand Memory problem, not a model problem; make your tone and positioning fields more specific before you blame the generation.
