Quickstart: Run your first GEO audit
Five-step guided setup to run your first AI Visibility audit.
Updated July 19, 2026
AI Visibility's first-run setup is a guided, multi-step wizard, not a single form. This walks through all five steps, ending with your first audit running.
Step 1: Enter your Brand URL
- Open AI Visibility from the Agents list.
- You'll see: "Enter your Brand URL. This will help us build context about your brand."
- Type your store link (for example, www.yourstore.com).
- Click Scan Website.
Step 2: Where are you primarily selling?
- You'll see your primary region already suggested (based on the scan).
- Click + Add to include additional regions if you sell in more than one.
- Click Continue.
Only add regions that actually drive meaningful business. AI Visibility focuses its analysis on what you select here; adding every region you technically ship to dilutes the tracking rather than sharpening it.
Step 3: Who are your main competitors?
- AI Visibility searches for the brands you're up against in AI answers automatically; you'll see a short loading state explaining why this step matters ("Knowing your rivals sharpens everything").
- A suggested competitor table appears, name and domain. Review it.
- Click + Add to include a competitor it missed, or remove any that aren't relevant.
- Click Continue.
At this point you'll see a confirmation toast: "Brand Memory saved! Now your generations will actually look like your brand." This is expected; setup here also writes to your shared Brand Memory.
Step 4 and Step 5: Topics and Prompt Suggestions
- Based on your regions and competitors, AI Visibility generates topic clusters (for example, "global fashion brands enter India partner") and, under each, a set of real, conversational prompts a buyer might ask an AI.
- Every suggested prompt is pre-checked. Uncheck any that don't apply, or click the edit icon to adjust wording.
- Click Create a visibility Report once you're happy with the selection.
Don't blindly accept every suggested prompt. Read through each cluster; these are the exact questions AI Visibility will track going forward, so a bad prompt here means tracking the wrong thing for your whole first reporting cycle.
What happens next
You'll land on the Overview dashboard with "Your first AI audit is running" and a note that your visibility report will appear automatically in a few minutes. While you wait, the dashboard already shows:
- Prompts tracked: how many questions you're now watching across AI engines
- Actions to take: a running list, including connecting a custom domain (required before anything can publish) and generating your first content
- A health status row (topics up to date, brands being compared, new opportunities)
